light on dash below blue main bean light

as above i keep getting a light on my dash (x reg cupra) in the main rectangular light panel of dash flashing and beeping

its top center of the panel and is a exclamation mark....

it seems quite random? can anyone tell me what it is and how to stop it?

i have searched - please dont reply "search"

does it only come on when you're parked up? The one in top center is the handbrake light.......

You got VAG COM? could be a dodgy handbrake sensor or something, but then you should have the massive handbrake light on at the bottom also.... get it vag com'd

nope also when driving sometimes too.....

i was aobut to say the big Park light at the bottom works fine as it should even...
however the top one is completely random, i dont have vagcom either, so thats the handbrake warning light and beep?

never known a beep.... we could guess all day until it gets vag com'd

Doesn't that indicate low brake fluid?

ah.... i think it may.... anything with a beep is a low something (petrol, oil etc)

does it come on when taking corners quick or qoin up/down hill..... might be a sign of low fluid. best bet, just pop bonnet and take a look

check users manuel! its brake fluid low, top it up son!

i would check the manual if i had one......

and my brake fluid level is fine....

then check the top is on tight and clean the sensor with some electrical cleaner and make sure its plugged in okay
