live amp wire on ibiza mk4

I'm wiring my amp up to my dvd player in my ibiza but can't get a live wire through the bulk head to the actual battery.

I've gone into the battery wire from the stereo to power the amp but now if i turn off the ignition the amp doesn't go off!!!

Anyone kno of a better way to do it or how to get into the bulkhead???

Might be wrong but shouldn't the amp be connected to the ignition wire not the constant 12v so it only gets power when the ignition is switched on?

The amp should be connected direct to battery and grounded on the cars bodywork. You should then use the remote cable from the HU loom to toggle the amp on and off.
