i don't no what to do with lowering my car and putting wheels on!

i want a nice set of 17inch alloys for my ibiza 2000 1.6s so is there any point in lowering the car because i dont want rubbing to start in the wheel arch or should i just lower it and get a set of smaller wheels, please help as i dont really no what to do!

thanks!

why dont you just get a set of cupra wheels and a set of coilovers, then you can just adjust them if it starts scrubbing at the back. what 17" wheels are you after?

.

not sure 2 be honest im just having a shop around! how much can u geta set of coilovers these days?

it all depends on what your after, you can be cheap ones which will lower it to the ground but the ride might be a bit harsh for like 200 quid off ebay, or you can go all out and spend nearly a grand on some mental ones :) its all upto your budget and preference really mate

wow thats opened my eyes a bit more, that was a real good write up. ill have a think about it and come back to you guys when i no exactly what i want to do, and have had a bit more shop around!

cheers guys!

Ive got some TA Technix coilovers (180quid from ebay) and the ride isnt that hard, unless they are wound most of the way down. I did have them with about 30mm left (front wheels scrubbed, 15's) and it was really hard, moved them upto about 50-60mm left and they are fine!
