Just got to remove the drop links from the ARB & give it a good wash & clean inside & that'll be it.

Love the white, but not I could live with it in terms of keeping it clean! I'm lucky with the Exeo being grey, I only have to wash it once a month if I'm lucky!!!!

The only option is a spare wheel!

But otherwise it's hardly poverty spec.

Pretty sure I can do what else I want to do on VCDS or retrofit anyway

Just removed the droplinks from the rear ARB this afternoon, ready for eBay later

I bought a rattle can of this

Now my very slightly kerbed wheel doesn't look as bad (managed to get a bit on the tyre, so I'll clean that off)

1st service on Friday (no cost to me), and probably trade in on Saturday assuming it arrives tomorrow, is PDI'd and registered in time

Can't wait

Good news is that I have over half a tank of petrol to get through this week

Bizarrely (because it was paid for) the Ibiza had it's first service today. So I knocked it into stock & delivered it

I think they updated the software, but I'm sure the DSG box has had an update as well - notably the downshift on manual is now immediate, rather than the 1.5 second lag

It's very smooth, as you'd expect, which it wasn't so much before.

Anyway, the handover is Tuesday ish - seems it's been at the dealers pending PDI all week.

All that means is that I have about 100 miles of fuel left to do about 50 miles.... so I'll have to go and take it for one last beasting.

Been down to 'see' my car - well excited even though it is just covered in crud & transit tape.

It has the stubby little aerial, which was going to be my first mod

So I bought a wiper bung (the kind that's flush with the glass) so I'll fit that before the wiper gets used & scratches the glass, and I'm on ebay hunting out a grille to repaint

Ibiza is much better for this SW update though

Well it's been traded in today with 9404 miles on it.

Jumped into the Octavia, instantly more comfortable & got 47mpg on the way home with a tight new engine.
