had my car vag-com'd a while back as it was loosing power and it showed up to be the maf sensor.

after replacing the maf sensor twice with both sensors being genuine seat ones the power loss is still there and the fault code still keeps showing up

ive even tried clearing the codes but they come back

any ideas?

Who knows? Only real way would be to log the maf values.

Have you checked the wiring on the sensor that plugs into the maf?

If you know where the maf is, i assume you do as you have had 3 new ones? just check that the wires on the plug/sensor are all ok still in tact etc...

i think thats thats the prob but you cant see any wires from all the black plastic crap covering it

Check these wires and also try and trace them back as far as you can and make aure they are all in good nick etc.....

If you mean that they are coverd with the black plastic tubing im pretty sure that just unclips from around the wires.

If you can try and get the actual fault code it could point us stright to the problem.

just thought id let every1 know that the problem is now sorted, and after putting the car into seat it turned out that the valve timing was out
