management light

Hi Guys,
About a month ago I had an issue with the management light comming on
every couple of months, So got it checked out they said it could be the
cam adjuster sonanoid or the maf unit,I changed the maf unit but before I could get booked in the light went out on it's own , but now it's come back on again .
Should I take it back and pay £70 to put it on the diagnostics or leave it and hope it goes out on it's own..??

Any ideas....????

buy a fault code reader from ebay and find out for yourself what the fault is. I bought one this week for £30. works a treat. allows you to check and clear codes.

or buy your own vag-com cable and software and then you'll have more scope for tweaking the cars settings.

don't give a garage the money to do it!

Dont you need the software as well or is this provided...??
Can anyone recomend a cable??
