Hello all,

Hope you've all had a good Christmas...

Anyway, my mate and I were talking and he seems to think that the exhaust manifold on the ABF is the same as on a Volvo Turbo Diesel.

He says this means it'd be both cheap and easy to turbocharge 16v Ibiza's and Golf's.

I said it's bollocks and that my mani is not the same as on some obscure TD Volvo. Dude's one of these guys who thinks he knows everything and won't be told otherwise.

So, I'm right, yeah?

Many thanks in advance, yo :)

Can't help on if the manifold is the same (although like you I'd be amazed, as far as I know PAG and VAG have never had such a parts tie up, unless it's before PAG days and then I'd still be just as surprised!).

However, even if it was to fit it's still only a small part of the equation of bolting a turbo onto a n/a car. To get a a decent, worthwhile conversion the other work needed to be done is still immense, it's not liike you'd be just bolting this manifold on and be running, it still won't be cheap or easy!
