Yah, did the air lock resolution already. I'm just gonna have to bite the bullet again and put it in the garage. I tried myself, but clearly there is something inherently wrong. Steering just doesn't feel right, no heating, handles and that crank is such a nasty annoying noise. Hoping a bonus will be in the pay pack next month and can spend that money on getting it fixed.

Just hope this nice weather lasts for a while. I can ride or walk to work which is healthier and saves my money too.

Both door handles now operational. First one took ages cos I took the whole door panel off...trying to get it connected and then realised all I needed to do was take off the hex bolt on side of door, slide handle off and then reinsert.

So now all that needs doing is taking it to a garage and getting the heating sorted and double checking that rattle and the belt is correctly tensioned !! yay !!

I don't have any :(

I've run the car with the expansion cap off for over 5 minutes, just to clear any air pockets but hasn't worked. Either the water pump is borked since the belt business or something else. The pipes from the slam panel (fans at front) are super hot though. So it's warming up, just not getting to my heating. Either that or the matrix has gone.

I'm still not 100% happy with the way she drives at moment. I really can't afford to do much though. South America is only 1 month away and I need all the money I get for that.

That is it. My love affair with this car is well and truly over.

Got 2 new tyres fitted today. Garage now say she needs a new steering rack, nearside rod end, offside rod end. Roughly between £400 - £500 parts n labour.

On top of what is still required:

Cambelt change
Crank or bearings making horrid noise
No heating in cabin
Car is now overheating again

For sure I am not ploughing any more money in to her. So going to break her for parts.

Now, how does one go about breaking and selling what can be sold. What do you do with the rest of her once its been butchered ?

Sorry to hear mat :(

Once you sell on all the parts you can scrap the shell, not sure how much you'll get

go to post office, as for a form to get a refund, and you will get a refund for each FULL month you give back, so you will probably get 5months worth of it back (but make sure it is SORN)
