Sorry to hear this mate. :(.

£400-£500 pounds parts and labour for those jobs seems abit much.

I paid less that £250 for getting 2 track rods and ends, camber set and a power-steering pump and new belt fitted.

You should get a fair bit back breaking it, especially for bits like the interior and wheels etc.

Yeah it might be overpriced but I can't be bothered driving around garages for quotes. Every month I've forked out a tonne of money with this. It's set me back financially more than I had anticipated. I haven't been able to clear my travel debt from last year which hasn't really shifted from £4700 when I got back in to the UK to £4100. £600 paid back in 10 months is rubbish. If it weren't for the car it'd be down to at least £2000, then I could be far more comfortable in getting another car.

Lucky now Summer is arriving so I can forget cars completely and get the bicycle out. Free !

I sold it as is, I couldn't break it sadly. Couldn't keep it secure and I am lazy too.

£250 to some dude in Derbyshire. Prob find out it was a simple nut or bolt needed replacing and he has got himself a nice motor.

Mods, please feel free to delete this RR now.

Gutted to see all the Mk2's getting broken for parts really, so somehow made me happy you could sell it as is. Don't take this the wrong way, but somehow I also hope it is really just a simple nut or bolt needed replacing and it can be kept on the road for a lot longer, would be shame if it gets crushed or whatever, was a tidy car as far as I could see on pics mate... Just hoping that dude respects it as much as you did.

Makes me wonder when mine's gonna get it's age-problems though, as mine is a bit older than most of the Mk2's here as most are facelifts...

Shame... But I'm 100% sure you'll find a new car after a while that you can fall in love with! :)
