Spent 4.5hrs cleaning the beastie today. back aches like crazy but well worth it again.

Got the hair dryer out to complete the decal job. Seriously not happy with the etched panel but going to have see what I can do about that soon.

New Sony head unit which I installed last week. Really needs some extra sound up front. Not sure the tweeters are working any more, and can't really get any decent oomph out of it. Maybe a sub is required. Will see what's about at Inters next weekend.

If anyone has any advice on what to do with the etched panel please tell me.

Might have to get it sanded down and then resprayed but depends how much, if it's a lot then I really can't see much point doing it. It is hideous though, wouldn't stand out so much if the paint underneath wasn't so red, and the wax wasn't in the edges hahah serves me right for not mopping up my wax eh

ahh so it looks worse than it actually is lol
mine were resprayed when i had the arches done,
i havent had mine done just got a k&n filter in there

mat, my son is doing an apprentiship at a car body paint and repair shop at the moment. he had a look at your car and reckons G3 compound and a buffer should get that cleared up. you can but try!!

The sticker came off easy with the hair dryer, it left behind the scored panel though haha and the paintwork underneath is brand new so I got a kind of ghost effect 16 Valves logo. Kinda funny but looks **** in all honesty.

Will speak tomorrow Tony about that buffing. You can take a closer look at it. The scoring is really quite deep.

Sweet, just won a front strut brace for £20 on Ebay. Shame the guy won't deliver it though, so will have to take a drive down to Bristol. OUCH. Might borrow the old dears 1.2 to save on the petrol costs.

Car looks sweet dude, wish mine had air con. Its a nightmare in this weather. I jus have to drive fast with the windows down to keep cool, so it works out gd in the end lol.
The ghost effect could catch on, you never know!!
Got to clean mine this week for inters, will do it all friday evening.

To be honest I rarely have it on. 2 windows and sun roof keep me ventilated.

If I buffed it up a bit more you can't notice it much.....from 150 yards hahahah

Anybody around the Croydon way on Saturday, want to help me fit my strut braces ????

Id love it especially this weekend, gonna be a scorcher apparently, i just have to make do with 2 windows but its all good.
It is wierd having that etche3d on there, hopefully you cn get rid of it.

Tony had a look at it today and he said there's no chance of polishing it out. Will be there for good now. I can't afford a proper panel job.

Maybe I should paint the innards black ;) but then i'd have to try and do it on the other side, without any guidelines haha

Or buy a ruddy great sticker on the side. I don't do stickers though :(

Get the original sticker done in carbon fibre effect. I will dig out my left over cuts off CF vinyl and bring them in to see what you think.

OEM with a twist ;)
