Metallic rattle

Morning people.

I've had the good old 'metallic' vibration/rattle from the back of the car a few months now and when I got round to gaffer taping the back seat catches I thought this would fix it

It seemed to be fine for a couple of days and has now come back, admittedly not as loud as it was before

Any ideas what else it could be - I did wrap a decent amount of tape round and it seemed to be a snug fit when I popped the seats back in place.

I find I really need to slam the boot for it to shut properly. I've had it rattling a fair bit without being open as such.

Interesting, I've never slammed the boot just let it shut relatively gently by the momentum generated in pulling down on the inside boot handle.

Will give it a go this morning - knowing my luck I'm sure it wont fix it though
