milltek cat back with out the 1st box!!!!!!!

is anyone running a milltek cat back system but with out the 1st box,straight through if you like?

dos make any difrence to performance?

is it louder?

of corse it wont like an MOT but just slip it back on for that

I have a Jetex cat back (very similar in sound to Miltek) with no mid silencer. And tbh, its no louder without the silencer.

Flies through MOT fine too.

ow realy i might get a non resonated section from milltek.......might just be worth it to stop that box from rubbing undernieth

It definately the silencer thats rubbing? As i know people have issues with the actual pipework knocking on th erear beam.

yea it is m8 the box that is,,,,,,,,,,but aswell when my exhaust hangers get warm the pipe work at the back dos blooby tap on that a fair bit any iders how to stop that?

My backbox hanger gets warm and taps too, i cable tied a bloody handlebar grip round the hanger to stop the noise!

I think there is another thread about this not so long ago suggesting uprated exhaust rubbers that wont go loose when warm.

yea m8 i did check that out gunna try some hangers from ATS uprated ones its realy starting to do my nut now.. n ill be putting some susspension on soon witch should lower it 50mm n ive heard that that problem gets wors when lowerd

My supersprint has one one rear box. No problems with MOT's, Its when the cat is missing you'll get problems.

tbh m8 im not sure..just went on awesomes web site n resd about the milltek it it says supplied with a resonated.................so i would that they would do one

you will need to have it cut out and a stright pipe welded in

My jetex system was doing the same and i put some powerflex hangers on it, sorted my problem out a treat
