Standard terraclean doesn't work for direct injection engines, like the TFSI.
They do have a different one for DI engines, you need to specifically ask for this one:

I think it depends on how bad your intake is to what degree this will help. If yours is badly coked up then I don't think this will work. If the build up isn't bad then it might be able to shift it.
All I can say is that the exhaust tips on my car and the spark plugs were coated in a thick black tar after the cleaning process, so it did SOMETHING but not sure exactly what
