Misty headlight cluster, problem?

One of my light clusters is a little misty, just condensation due to the weather or is it more serious? Anyone know? Am I the only one?

Nope nothing out of the ordinary sadly, they (mostly) all do it.

Usually having the headlights on a while gets rid of it, but since fitting HID's (Which are cooler than normal bulbs) doesn't really generate enough heat to get rid.

Take the back off and leave your lights on..will dry out then

Get a little packet of silica gel, (that little packet of beads you get in a electrical item box) and tape it inside the headlight. The back cover is good and that will soak up the moisture and they wont mist up. did it on my escort years ago and they never misted up, It really works!!!!

Looks like I will add that to the list of things to do, it really grinds my gears that these cars r probably the worst for water need to do the doors again when I can be bothered to buy the uprated seals

gona try this as my headlight is getting worse. i have hid's so wont generate enough heat and i have tried taking the cover off already.

now where's that silica gel

Packets of gel can be bought on ebay. I just saved some from various items purchased but have yet to need them.

i had this problem whilst the car was still under warranty, rang seat and they told me they'd have to take a picture of it, send it to seat and they'd decide weather they would replace it or not ! ! (the dealer explained that seat doesn't believe this problem actually occurs ! )

Got the exact same problem - been told to use the silica gel trick too. Gonna give this ago tommorow if its not snowing/raining.

By the way dont use a hairdryer to get rid of it - I did this and half hour later it was three times as worse!!

i used the stuff that you put in plant pots in summer i think its silica gel then put it in emptied out teabags and duct taped it to the back of light
all i had at the time
