Finally got round to doing some spraying. I've done the front bumper first to make sure the paint lays on ok. Here's some pics. I filled the grooves in the upper bumper and rubbed down those irritating dimples in the lower bumper. first couple of pics are upper & lower in plastic primer, I sprayed the grille inthe lower half with metallic black:

Next pic is bumper reassembled and given 2 coats of high build primer rubbed down with wet & dry ready for the basecoat:

Now have given it a basecoat and then removed the masking paper:

And finally...clearcoat; think I need to give it another coat of that though...

Spent most of sunday rubbing down the body, not quite finished yet; v laborious job! I need to remove the headlining to get the aerial off as well, still, looking on the bright side I shouldn't have too much masking up to do coz I've removed as much as possible from the body......

How?? the nut that holds the aerial base to the roof is above the headlining, can't see how i could get that out from the top. any advice much appriciated!

not sure of the set up of the arosa's but when i had to change the aerial base on my ibiza i just gently pulled the back of the headlining down and sliding a spanner in to undo the nut. if that helps:)

thats the way to do it remove the rubber seal to fit your hand in the space between the linning and the roof if there is one or its just a case of removeing a plastic panel or two its dead easy.
there normally 13mm nuts.

its a 22 mm nut, be really carefull and prise down the headliner, slide spanner in and losen the nut, i will check when i get up later what size it is
