Mk1 Leon axle, what fits ?

Follow up to my reversing into something thread i have had the car looked at and its the axle thats twisted.

Been to my local breakers but they dont have any leon rear axles in, only golf mk4 and skoda octavia ? any idea if these are the same ?

Been quoted £440 for a new one from seat, or £90 for one of the above from my local breakers

Any idea what is the same as the mk1 leon rear axle ?

100% sure on that buddy ? If so il go buy it today and be back on the road this week !

Is there any variations that wont fit ? Ie would a Mk4 golf GTI fit ?

You could try getting the part number from the Seat dealer that quoted you £440 and comparing it to that of a Mk 4 Golf, or try posting the same question in one of the sponsors sections like Awesome or JBS.

The breakers was shut so sourced another. Off a toledo, looks the same and have been assured its the same axle as the leon.

Only paid £60 for it too

Just hope it fits !

Done a quick check on ETKA for you using a 2003 car year and its the same part number for the Golf, A3, Leon, Toledo and Octavia for that year so you should be OK.

Bargain, gotta pay £100 to get it fitted though .

Notice, must pay more attention whilst reversing.

Theres a silver Cupra rear bumper there too, SOO tempted only wants £50 for it !
