yep certainly am mate got all the kit its only a rag bout not concours and its white so nice n simple to paint

Think either would work mate, black will really stand out, but would still notice them in white, its a nice subtle mod!
wallet may be empty mate, but u will end up with one of the mintest mk2's about! Will put a smile on ur face when loads of people tell you how good it looks at shows! 
Looking good mate. front end is really tidy. I think the manifold polished would really set the engine bay off. But its completely up to you
na staying standard will be worth more in a fewyears that way
got anouther more exsperienced pannel beater coming round beginning of next week said he has all the compressors welding kit and all the tools ect and will do it for a few

then ive taken time offin november to get her resprayedso hope to still have it finished buy january!
but haventtouched her for a few days as ive got nothing else to do on exterior and dont have enough space to rip the interior apart aswell so am at a holt but no rush hey!
got some jap style golf handles for her throu today and a lower bumper spoiler so will get pics up of them tomorrownight

just read thorugh the thread, and the car seems to be coming on nicely. have got a soft spot for mk2 and mk1 golfs. wud like to own a mk1 golf gti in a few years as a 2nd car and clean her up like your doing
my mate has got a mk2 golf gti, but his is the 8v version. is alright, but im not quite sure what he was thinking with some of the mods...bike can! he has fully striped the interior and put a rear strut brace on it. has got a welded race seat and 4-point harness, racing manifold, bike can (dont know why!), back alloys with a chrome lip, and the car drinks more oil than an alcholic drinks beer in a free bar!
he has also got a super charger to put on it...eventually. will be pretty sweet when its all done though
