mk2 golf dt 16v project on the way!

il try the car in complete green first and decide after if i want the roof and mirrors done black (gloss dozza)

ads not been busy just ot bored and had a lil play as thy were just chucked in the back of the car thought it would be 1 less thing to do

just the roof and the front a pillars down either side of the front screen but you cant really see these pilars when they have the windscreen in and roof mouldings

well after layiyin bed till 1ish i decided not to be lazy and get some more bits done on the beast

ive grinded off as much of the rust as possible in the arches and have sanded it all down primed it and stone chip blacked all the arches out

stop the arches rotting out anytime soon

sealed all the rolled arches up and stone chipped all inner arches on all four corners

took a while to do and got covered in sealer but JOB DONE!

should also have 3-4 deliverys this week with loadsa new parts

Rash you are a true legend and a proper enthusiast, honestly mate if i had enough room on my driveway i would be doing a similar thing as you but unfortunatly we already have 8 cars at my house and my brother is about to buy another one maybe an s3 so there is no-where near enough room for anotherone do have some pretty cool cars

ive been working on it all day again today put anouther layer of sealer in the arches on the rolled arches and gave the arch wells/inner wings anouther thick layer of stonechip black to eliminate ANY new rust! also finally finished EVERY REPAIR all that needs doing is sand the overspray down and rub bumpers down for primer! PREP DONE!!!! (BIG BIT)

im picking up some exstreamly exspensive coilovers tomorrow and also ive bought some new doors with audi handles welded in to be extra diffrent! costly but will both be well worth it!

got the painter popping over next saturday to prime the whole car finally getting closer to the repaint!

before saturday ive got to modify my arch trims (g60 arches) to clear the wheels and repaint them textured black. fit the large service kit ive bought and the new radiator with coolant! alot to do but slowly getting there pointless puttin pics up of progress looks sorta the same as last pics

You work in a bodyshop rite? How come your not spraying it?

i do work in a body shop but wont be getting it resprayed or worked on there as it is an insurance bodyshop retail work gets rushed and doesnt get the time spent on it! so im not going to use work! but will have it primed on saturday then the painter goes on holiday for two weekends and im in a rush so may ask my manager just to do the paintwork as the prep work is what takes the time!

just got back from buying the coilovers! ive pourchased spax rsx coilover retail at over £620 new and ive picked them up in great condition for £200 pics to follow when ive gone outside in 5mins and fitted them

desided to strip all the supesion down a repaint EVERY bit and clean ect so they will be good as new as cant be bolting second hand quality on now can we pics to follow when finished

no theyre stripped down so will need rubbing down de greesing masking up and lots of thin layers so they dont start crisping AGAIN! you would of thought £620 would get you coilovers that dont crip after 10 months!!!!! mad but will be sorted

martin didnt ring no i rang him in the end but we have decidedon this saturday for primer but will have to wait and see about paint! are you gonna pop over with him and take a butchers

just read the last few pages, golf is coming along nicely mate, wheels look really good on the car aswell!! shud look pretty mint when finished!

hope so with the amnount of money and time and hard graft im putting in! been modifying the g60 arches today had to cut the lip off so the wheels dont catch and also smooth a few bits off and of course repainting them texured black! will redoo the side skirts too even tho they are new so the colours match!

should have a new radiator on its way a service kit (oil,plugs,filters ect) coilovers reprayed suspension parts sprayed and new brakes all round by the end of the week! then primer on saturday and had a word at work as my painter is going on holiday im getting a quote on the respray for the following satuyrday!

started ordering interior bits like floor matts, sound deadning matts ect ready for when i hit the interior

new coilovers are leaking so gotta get a refundon them SO ANNOYING! will have to stick with the avo coilovers that are already on the car for the time being! NOT GOOD!

NO NOT AT ALL IM FUMING! they have rotted a little SOME HOW! and there is a pin hole in the rotten area! I WILL get a refund!
