Seeing as a 1.2 is all im gonna get with half decent insurance seeing as i aint been driving long...(although it seems many say theres not much to gain out of a 1.2) is there anything i can do to the 1.2 without insurance noticing?!

same as above, but if u really have to, decent panel filter and exhaust might help a bit...bout it tho really lol

make it smell nice.

yeah not really alot you can do matey and what you can do would need to be declared :( sawwwwrie

well at least the SEAT sport strut brace was a factory option and on when you bought the car guiness:whistle:

Even a factory option should be declared, there was a woman locally who had her Golf written off and due to having factory alloys that weren't standard (it was an optional pack IIRC) the insurance wouldn't pay out. Anything they think they can get away with as an excuse not to pay they will use.

As for getting more performance out of your 1.2 you could whip the rear seats out (don't put in a false floor) and if you have an accident just say you were on the way back from the tip or going to B&Q and needed the space. It's a free mod that one so good if you are on a budget.

if you want fast and cheap insure buy a pd100 or pd130 beezer they are very low on insurance and really cheap to run and can be modded up to 180bhp!!!!! with just a remap and panel filter :-o i know its a diesel but they are fast!

i know but if i was skint id be happy wit a derv as they feel pokey and are tuneable aswell wereas the 1.2 is not!

dervs are for skivs sums it up  (does this sound more like rash you know ;) )
