Well, quick update, Lynsey managed to back the car into the house a couple of days ago. :(

Going to have a ring round for quotes. :(

On the plus side, my boost gauge turned up yesterday. :)

That's a bummer, at least you have someone to blame for it rather than your self. ;)

Hopefully you'll get it sorted soon mark.

Very true, I didn't go mad at her, didn't see the point!

When I had the astra, she damaged the front splitter on that. Twice.

Needless to say, I got a tad angry about it! Just bit my lip and said "don't worry, I'll sort it!" Grrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!

Just an expense I could do wothout to be honest, really want to get the suspension and exhaut sorted first!

Ok, well today consisted of fitting my boost gauge and led stop/tail bulbs. :)

Also, here's some pics of the slight damage to the rear of the car:-

I'll take a quick vid of the stop/tail led's when I get the chance, but first, the boost gauge!!

I bought an electronic boost gauge off ebay for £34.99

And I bought the RGM a pillar gauge holder (plenty of these about!)

Anyhoo, I started by gaining access to the back of the fusebox/dash/headlight switch:-

Undoing the torx bit screws along the edge of the exposed fuse box holder and the side of the dash gives you access:-

Removing the scuttle panel gives access to the bulkhead, I drilled a hole next to the engine loom entry and fed some wiring through (wiring with the kit was no way long enough for what I wanted!)

And from the side of the dash:-

I tucked the plug and wiring behind the seal trim:-

Right so, my boost gauge being electronic needed the sensor to be wired in. I figured this configuration:-

Red and Orange wires (orange wire makes gauge light amber at all times) Connect to Blue/Black of dimmer switch wiring

Black wire connects to thick brown wire of dimmer switch wiring

After that, I tidied up and fitted the gauge holder, happy days! :)

I need to tidy up the vacuum hose though, I wanted to use the silicone that was already in the bay but it's gone kind of brittle, so I cut and shut with the clear hose supplied.

Not sure if this is right, the gauge reads OK, the car holds 0.8 bar of boost, the original owner had fitted an atmospheric dump valve (yuck) and when I put the 007 valve in, I noticed that the vacuum pipe is already T connected into the FPR.

Can someone tell me if this is OK?

Thanks for reading! :)

Also, forgot to add I connected the power and earth for the sensor to the same wires.

Wow, those pics came out pretty good considering it's a HTC Mozart phone!

Underneath LH side of inlet manifold there 2 nipples, 1 behind another ( FPR is front)
1 goes straight to FPR and other goes to N249 then DV
I assume one of these ports must have been plugged

I'm guessing so Ronin, doesn't seem to affect the car, so may well leave it. :)

Thanks Tom, must admit, I do like it lots!

Righty ho, pics of sidelight led's on (on my own so couldn't get brake lights!)

Also pic of boost gauge at night. :)

Also, found some suspension, hoping to purchase tomorrow, 20mm drop shocks and springs. :)

Wow, has it really been that long since I last posted?

Blimey! Well, after fighting with myself for ages on wther we could or couldn't afford to keep my LCR, I'm pleased to say she's staying!

Things got a bit tight financially for us this year and it was looking grim at one point!

Well, small update, the alternator packed up on me this last week and she seems to have developed a boost leak too. Great.

Oh and on a personal note, I now work for a Seat dealer! Yay for me! :)

Great to hear things picking up slowly mate :) sure there will be some benefits with working for seat now when you need parts or work done ;)
