The centre console was out of a GTI i found at the scrap yard and it took bout 5 minutes to fit, just a couple of screws to hold it in! I may have a spare one once i strip down this other GTI so ill let you know.

Hello again everyone, been a while since ive updated this as nothing as actually happened to my car yet :( lol but i've been down the scrapyard over the weekend and gathered some more parts and sorted out the VR6 and the Ibiza im going to strip next weekend. Cant wait to finally get stuck in and after next weekend evrything should come together nicely lol anyway heres a couple of pics...

The beast :p lol its an OBD2 aswel so should be good for about 180bhp, its all together and full of oil unlike the others plus i've got the keys and everything for it so im going to bang a battery on it and make sure its running before it comes out!

The Pre-facelift GTI i stripped all the bumpers and tailgate off...Got to strip all the front and rear subframes, brakes, suspension, hubs and the black carpet of course!

ANYONE THAT DOESNT WANT TO SEE A CRUSHED IBIZA LOOK AWAY NOW lol

Hardly recognisable but this was a Ibiza GTI 2.0 16valver, i got all the centre console, clocks and steering wheel out of this one a while back and was considering using all the engine and parts off this one but the bloke who owns the scrapyard is putting it all in his white pre-facelift Ibiza plus the VR6 will be better anyway :p lol

Thats it for now, should have a big update next week if all goes to plan!

The VR6 is home at last!!!

Finally after a long weekend the main bulk of parts are stripped and home :D lol off the Golf i acquired obd2 2.8 vr6 engine, cable change gearbox and changer assembly, full wiring loom fuse board and clocks the lot, radiator and dual fan setup, front and rear subframes complete with hubs, driveshafts, brakes, standard suspension and steering rack, abs pump etc, brake master cylinder and servo, pedal box and steering column, toad alarm system, spare top and bottom inlet manifold with throttle body, 10 cd changer and wiring kit and a few interior bits!

Off the Ibiza i got front and rear subframes with hubs, brakes, driveshafts, steering rack and standard suspension, front slam panel with front light and fog light wiring loom, standard backbox, few lights, black carpet and ducting for the heater system to direct air into the rear footwells, gti clocks and fog light switch etc, fuel pump and a few more interior parts and speakers etc!

Paid £400 for all this which is good considering what i've got plus what i've had in the past!
I've taken more than enough parts though so i'll be able to sell some and make abit back :p

Here's some pics from the weekend...

Mass of wiring and the vr6 itself safe at home!

Just a case of even more stripping, comparing, deciding and prepping to do now...atleast i can get stuck in now though :p lol

Keep the comments coming and keep looking for updates as its all taking off now!!!
