Looks great. You really need to start the 2 bucket method wash. You won't believe the amount of **** that comes off the wash mitt and sits in the bottom of the dirty bucket.

Think I may play with the fittest abit as it seems slanted? Anyone else got this

Makes a nice noise excepted it to be louder but glad it isn't really. I had a bit of a panic when driving it back home...pulled onto the dual carriageway and there was a huge cloud of blue smoke :( seems to have cleared now so must of been something in the pipe from factory as oil level is sound after the service 1month ago

Yea its a bit on the squint side. That would do my head right in lol.

As for washing, you rinse the mitt out in one bucket then clean with the other one. Try it and see what comes off it lol.

You can paint the inside of the tailpipe where its baffled with matt black high temp resistant paint from halfords.

I did it with my Piper.

Na it won't make a difference to the sound much at all really. Mine is baffled on the inside but is very loud.

Surely it'll make some difference to the sound, that's why you get a choice lol.

The tone of the noise yeah I'd say so, but I can't see it quietening down an exhaust tbh. It's all in the silencers from experience imo..

DK's Milltek is done in this way and actually sounds raspier and louder than the standard open ended Milltek tailpipe on the revised LCR system. His was louder than mine, so I went an bought the Piper, LOL..

I'll have to have a look but on the link on my last post mine is the 1st tail and is just like that and the bit you can see on the pic is where the tail is welded to the pipe off the backbox

After seeing Tom detailing his engine bay. I decided mine was far from clean, it's still not 'show us you bays' clean but it's a lot better

Coming on nicely. I will definately be spending a day at Phills sooner rather than later as I've developed a wheel bearing rumble from the front left. :(

I'll give you a heads up when we do it mate.

It's annoying when repairing pops up. I'm up for that mate just let me know. mine will be on hold til after Xmas now I think as got some much gOing on before then just going to collect little bits at a time for the fmic.

I might be begging a lift to the track day unless I can sort the pcv and check the Cambelt out as I've got a bad feeling bout the Cambelt receipt I have. Need to check it over and make sure it has been replaced.
