Wish i had started this thread before i started moding my car but havent done that much to it yet. i wanted to start this thread to show everyone the progress on my car and hopefully to get some ideas from other people and maybe other people can use it to get some ideas from mine.
Anyway, as i have said i havent done that much to it at the moment other than,
- Colour co-ordinated the bumpstrips
- Dump valve
- Replacement air filter
- Sun strip
- Seatcupra.net sticker in rear.

My intention is to show you all before and after photos and your input is much appreciated. im at work at the moment so i will post some picture up later. feel free to speak your mind and ask any questions or give some advice.

Cheers. speak to you later

hmmm heard they are extremely tricky to get off. would look a lot better though. maybe.
Most of the work on the car will be done by myself as im reluctant to take it to garages to get work done on it if i can do it myself. I dont agree with having to pay over the odds for them to do someting that might take me 3 hours but get the same job done!

Like in take them off and fill in the gap and smooth the filler to an even surface and then prime and paint?
Time consuming, I would say.

Exactly, would look different and great! :D

My frien has taken my old ones off my hands and is doing this, well, my mate (who works in a bodyshop) is doing them.

Above pictures were after i spent all afternoon trying to get it shiny and get the colour back. made it nice and shiny at least.
Got the wife to spend an hour picking the bugs of the front end.
Also i debadged the back end aswell. Good old dental floss

Nowhere near, i.e. Norway.
Looking good!

What kinda dental floss do you have over there? I can't use that, I need fishing line.

This kinda painting makes a big difference in the cars overall appearance.
Did it yourself? With the bumpers on the car?

Just needs other wipers front and back and the yellow text at the top of the windscreen gone! ;)

Time to update your avatar, mate.

yeah. need to redo with some proper paint from a proper paint shop. bought the stuff from halfords and the match is not good close up. was told i needed to spray a grey primer and then the yellow, so i did only then to find out i needed a white primer. lol idiots.
whats wrong with the strip on the window. lol only one i have seen with it on. keeps the sun out of my eyes.

dental floss worked a treat on the badges, then some finger muscle to get the sticky stuff off.

going to get some fabia wipers for the front and the aero for the back. seems to be the thing for leons

hi mate,

ur leons looking good! i did the same thing with my bumpers and bump strips with halfords paint, not the best match ever but it still looks ok, but i tried sortin out sum scuffs and cracks in the paint but it ended up looking a bit crap. but one of my mates knows sumone in a body shop so im gonna get it all done and sorted on the cheap (well cheap-ish) lol.

this is my leon, its not a cupra its a 1.8 20v se but ive done a few bits to it, im gettin it lowered 35mm and windows tinted next month and then after christmas im gonna get sum white alloys.

Hi, keeping my strips black.

easy to keep clean and hide scuff marks by using shoe polish :p
