Hi folks,

As the weather was good at the weekend I thought I would spend some time on the car. I got some help with the engine bay and treated the exterior to a little wax too :)

very nice mate, not everday you see a standard one!!

best colour aswell, black is brilliant when it is cleaned properly! i cant stop looknig at mine after i have cleaned and polished it!

Cheers for the comments Lee and Jay!

Yup, black is definantly the best - I still find myself walking around the car checking out the shine and I've had her for four years now...I'm so sad!

Never really been tempted to change her appart from a few subtle things although a remap may be on the cards soon.

Yup, about time you had a remap, any idea who you are going to get one from?

oh and black is the best colour.....

bartsimmo, looks really good.
Just looking at the 4th pic down, are you running any wheel spacers on the rear wheels?

Hi John,

I'm still undecided about the map, the more I read the more confused I get! It looks as though it will be either REVO or Jabba. The only show stopper is the insurance but that's another post me thinks. It shouldn't be an issue.

As always, I'm up for a Mk3 black Cupra shoot, you know me! ;)

Peter,

No I'm not running spacers but hope to soon. It's probably just the angle. Nice car btw ;)

Bartsimmo, mine has been Jabba'd and you are more than welcome to pop up here and I will take you for a spin, you will never look back.

Thanks for the comments!

Peter, thanks for the offer mate that's really good of you but probably a little too far to travel.

I know I'll be impressed when it's done it's more a question about the insurance than getting it done though as I said before. Just a couple of questions need to be sorted but I'll pop them in the insurance section soon.

Not much difference almost two years on but thought I'd share a few pics of my standard Mk3 Cupra after a clean and polish.

good to see you've still got it Dan. Mine could do with a bloody good clean, I'll bring it round, yeah?

You can bring it round John but it might not get done at the moment - bit too busy! To be honest I had a little help with cleaning the car this time from a friend at work ;) :D

Full credit to you for managing to keep it standard, particularly for this many years! Much harder than modifying it I imagine. Looks a minter, although I have to say it has some unhealthy gappage going on, think it needs to be taken to the suspension doctor ;)
