Ive done it all mate. I bought the car when it was FIVE months old with 10,000 on the clock. It cost me £4,500 !!!! Thats all
It is a 1.4 16v that had been pre registered and sat on some Seat car park for some time. It came quite basic so I put on the wheels, change the wing mirrors, put on the FR grill and badges. This was back in 2004 before Seat rebranded releasing the new Leon.
Was very unique and Ive still not seen these wheels on another Ibiza.
Not bad for a cheap runabout. Use it for tip runs etc and to save my LCR / Altea FR (proper FR) from getting messed up.
This thread was created because with it being Five years old I wanted to freshen the look up
mine was pre-reg as well....got it cheap considering its an 08 car...
keep the wheels, very different, as you have said, i havent seen another mk4 with those wheels!
as for freshening it up....it all depends on £££..you looked at the facelift bumpers? debadge? painted rub strips? HID conversion? spacers for the back to give a wider stance?
Well im hoping to turn the vehicle into a two seater car-derived van. Removing the rear seats for a custom made dog cage to go in. So the mods i were doing were just simple cosmetic ones for the outide.
HIDs are a good idea, plus still havent got around to painting the calipers red yet
i think spacers would really improve the stance of the car...i have them on the back and im very pleased with them. Painting the rub strips was quite a cheap job, it smooths the car a lot, not sure how much difference it would make on a black car though?
HIDs are quite cheap...but i had some difficult fitting/alligning them but finally sorted them i think!
facelift bumpers really do make a massive improvement though!
At long last Halfords got the paint back in stock so here are some pics of my newly painted calipers. Took me a little longer than i thought it would but at least i finish before it started raining.
Never done owt like this before so was a learning curve for me. Now thinking about doing my Altea FR too.
