Need help fitting Forge TIP lcr 225...

I have recently bought a forge tip for my lcr,

Just wondered if you could give me a few pointers on how to fit it, how did u get to the turbo etc?

If you could I would be very grateful,

Not really sure what to say Craig, take the old one off taking note of where everything goes and put the new one on. It can be a bit fiddly getting to the jubilee clips but the TIP itself goes onto the turbo easily enough. You'll be fine.

it aint a massively tight fit, sliding the tip onto to the turbo, as i fit the upper intercooler hoses and they needed a fair bit of grunt to get em on.

Smear a bit of WD40 around them before putting them on.

what about some grease?

I supose that would be Ok just dont put loads of it on

no i was thinking along the line of a smear, it is a oil based grease.

Yeah that should be Ok, the hardest bit is getting the old clips off.

on which part of the tip? the bottom? i have new hose clips for the lot

I have'nt I'm afraid, if you take out the airbox and engine cover you will be able to see most of it.

I did mine without any guides or anything. Make sure you have clips on each hose and fit the bottom one first. Work your way up.

Take you time and make sure all the connections are tight and you have no chance of an air leak.

u mean offer the tip up with all the hose clips on first and connect bottom first and work my way up?

You can compare it to the old one for lengths incase some trimming is needed.
A very light smear of oil can be used for assisting pipes on
Only take a couple of hours for a non mechanically minded person to do anyway
