Hi All,

My clutch is now slipping and can only get worse.

Anyone have any good advice on where I can purchase a replacement?

standard clutches try GSF, FPS, ECP, benchmark distribution to name a few, will all do SACHS clutches.

Dependant on the mileage i would suggest changing the DMF, and the CSC aswell, will be a bit more costly, but could save the cluch from needing to be replaced again due to contamination or the clutch failing due to working with old parts.

Wow loads of info... cheers Triple D.

So guess I could just go for the 1st choice of the clutch kit then.

I see AVS Car Parts - www.vwspares.co.uk are doing it for £108.16.

Would this be a good price?

Not sure on the price TBH, i can try to find out tomorrow what our customers get the clutches at and find out a price for you if needbe. I work for sachs, so i get them at cost, so would probably be like £40+vat or something silly

Try GSF, FPS or ECP for a price, they should beable to match or beat them id have thought.

The first clutch was just the Pressure plate and the drive plate. The second one was the whole lot without the dmf, so pressure plate, drive plate and Concentric slave cylinder.
The concentric slave cylinder part number is 3182 997 901 for future reference.

Just checked out the ones you mentioned. IT still looks like vwspares are the cheapest unless you can get a sachs kit for me at similar price?

well i have gone for the whole lot mate, the flywheel, slave cylinder, clutch and pressure plate but thats because im going bigger turbo, but from what i've been told its best to replace whole lot esp with your mileage as it'll work out cheaper in long run

well near on 700-800 odd but can get cheaper prob

but if your going standard parts it'll be cheaper

Hi,

I too am starting to experience clutch slip in my Cupra in 4th 5th and 6th around 3200rpm.
So i guess I may need a new clutch soon.
Car is remapped to near 220bhp (255ft/lb torque i think) 54500 miles.

I just want to get the clutch sorted and am not interested in paying huge money for uprated and fancy clutches.
There seems to be a huge price difference between the SACHS ones mentioned here with vwspares and other ones people are talking about.
I also cant find torque stats on the SACHs ones mentioned here.
Probably going to change it out ourselves.

Can someone please help me out by advising me what is the clutch I should look at getting for what I want and any other advice would be appreciated?
Also I'd like to know what is thought of the SACHs ones mentioned here.
