I currently have an fml box in my cupra but it's smashed to pieces, would an ERR box out of a golf gti be ok?

As long as they not massively different you should be ok - Found this :

O2M Manual Transmission for 1.8L Engine

Tranny code: ERR

Ratio Z2:Z1

62:16=3.875
Final Drive (w/o dmf)

there is also a DRW coded box, which is off of a diesel motor from across the pond, i think. i had one last winter(accidently) with my 35r setup, and the gears were waaaaaaaay too long. if you search that though.....DRW..... you should find some more info on it. if you wanted to make the ultimate bt gear-stack, i was going to try and put use the DRW ring and pinion gears/shafts, and put the stock 20th ae gears on the DRW output shafts.... since the 20th gears are said to be a bit too short for a large turbo 4 banger, this...i think.... would effectively lengthen the gears.

So theoretically the err box should be ok, I read someone went from a fml to err and couldn't tell at all

the ratios in the ERR and the FML are very very close the difference between them is only a couple of mph in the lower gears and only 0.2mph in sixth (6500rpm and 195/50/15 tyres) they are interchangeable as they are both 02M the gearbox that would get you the highest theoretical top speed (241.1mph:-o) would be the FJW as fitted to pd 130 ibizas but that would mean really slow acceleration
