New wheel pics...

Well here's some pics of the new wheels. I think Ad Lav has started a trend! Basically my original Ibiza Sport wheels were in horrendous condition. They'd been curbed around the edges and there were branches of bubbles in the paint where the wheel were oxidising. And this was bringing my paint off. So they looked crap - and the tyres were getting low. So I bought new wheels....put them on with my 20mm spacers still on the back and it looked totally stupid! The wheel was hanging well out the arch. So I took the spacers off. Looked good. Drove it and found the back left wheel was catching on a lump in the back of the splashguard. But this is down to the fact that they're on 205/50/17's. So I'll be taking the tyres off, refurbing the wheels, spraying them and coating them in some nice new 40 rubber. So for the moment I'm back on the Sport wheels and am gonna refurb the VRS' over Christmas.

i agree the tyres imo let them down when low profiles are on there and shes slammed then you have a SCHHWWWEEETTT MOTOR

i'd consider getting the faces of the wheels polished, as your wheels look like they're in good nick to do it.

I put them on and dropped the car back down and stood behind the car, you could see every bit of the wheel from top to bottom. Looked really tractorish. But we'll see when I get the new tyres on.

I agree that they'll look a lot bigger with lower pros. Filled the front arch lovely with 50's on though.

I did want them anthracite originally, but now I agree with you. Looks nice just in silver. Will get them sprayed VW Diamond Silver (same as what they are now) properly. And put a few coats of laquer on to get them lovely and shiny!

It would look alright but I find that polished wheels always blister. Like the Mk4 Golf GTI BBS wheels that are polished....always blister. And that's why im changing from my Sport wheels.

Nothing. That's without spacers. So with it's obv gonna be 20mm further out.

I don't see how yours are in the arch Ad Lav. Maybe it was the tyres? They're Continental's on atm which will be for sale. I don't understand. Like I say, when i get the lower pro's on I'll plop the wheel on and see what it looks like. Watch this space for more mods hopefully later this week.... *cough bumper cough*
