You'll need to flatten the casting first with a more aggressive wheel before you will touch it with either of these kits.
I have sanded them down they look shiny but scratchy so im hoping this will give the mirror finish im after!
this is going to take yonks...... I remember doing a saxo vts rocker cover took 4 days with one of these kits.
you can pay someone to do it, I've seen prices range from £30-50 etc, they use proper machines designed for doing this, and the end result is always far superior then scrubbing away by hand.
try rainbow polishing in Birmingham, they did my Rocker and inlet mani and posted it back to me for £80 all in.

Right brought a polishing kit from halfords and thought id give it a go!
I started on the inlet manifold and well happy with the results and just took me under an hour, I half polished the rocker cover and half painted and think it has tidied it up well.

Yeah used sanded paper first to get the rough surface flat then use the polisher with a power drill
nice one just been out and bought this kit seems reasonable price for halfords anyway and some wet and dry up to 1500 grit will give it a go today
