Alright sound.

hmmmm..... Is it a bracket that holds the mbc? Screws are easier to put in rather than rivets.

Rivets would be better as they wont have any chance of coming lose but a bit of a pain to put rivets in there init?lol

If you got all the kit to rivet it than do that :D Might be easier and quicker with screws though.

When you fitting it? If you need any help let me know and i'll pop over and give you a hand.

top man :)
nick just to let you know it might be worth fitting a mbc. if i remember correctly your car boosts at 25psi, bill has turned mine down to 20 psi(1.4)on the mbc as this is classed as safe. i was boosting at 29 psi (2bar) before, the great thing is im still making 280 bhp with 0.6 bar less :) also i still have the extra boost if i want it.
tbh my car actually feels quicker has it holds boost longer and less heat.
just thought id let you know :D

Cheers guys trying my best.

Also I just bought some forge upper silicon boost hoses tonight in red to match my TIP.

Yeah was really happy with the refurb I was so surprised that a good clean and some new lacquer could make the look like brand new again. It just took a lot of time prepin, removing all the old lacquer off was a PITA worth it though :D.

Hello mate!

Yeah it is boosting at 25psi, was watching it more than the road today lol.

So you think thats to much then? I dont want to hurt the car so will investigate doing the mbc then, not so sure at buying the forge one though at £70.

Are the mbc's difficult to install and set up or would it be best to get bill to do it?

Your really good at spending my money mate, luckily i just got paid yesterday!

Makes the paint look fresh too! My fronts will be done asap, rears have paint flaking off :( How long did it take? Makes such a difference to the car.

Well i took my time as I have a garage but i spent one weekend on the drivers side and the next weekend on the passenger side but thats allowing 24hr for the paint to cure properly as well. But the time consuming bit is pealing off all the old, but this all depends how much of the old lacquer you want to remove. I removed all of it from the front of the calipers didnt touch the rear of the caliper as you dont see it and it was in good shape anyways.

going by the advise i was given then yes your car is boosting a little too high, its common for mappers to just turn the boost up too much. your best bet is to give bill a call. the forge mbc does look good in the bay :)
as for installing it, it needs to be inline with the n75 , not to tricky but it does need to be set up on the dyno to get the best out of it.
bill charged me £60 to fit it, set it up and a number of power runs on the dyno so its a good price.
sorry for spending your money again m8

Sweet glad it went well for you mate.

So it looks like next pay check is going to be for a Forge mbc and the set up, the forge one you have did look sweet the other night when i saw it.:) Going to cost about £130 then lol.

What sort of issues can you have from over boosting? Is it extra wear and tear on everything?
