On standard wheel nuts the covers do go over them yeah :) Dave sells them for less than a quid each iirc but drop him a line mate. He will have them to you in no time!

Cheers for the kind words mate! :) Plenty to do though this year she's a long way from 'finished' lol.

On the dv yes for sure she felt much better with it serviced and also the yellow spring put in... Lol I had the green one in on stage 2, oops. Boost is alot more responsive but I think the MAF is dying so got a new one on the way mate.

Keep up the good work and nice to see she's still going strong :)

Tom I think thats more down to the spring rather than the service kit, Unless it's not been serviced for a long time and the seal's have gone you should'nt really notice any difference.

Nice Sam :)

Daz yeah perhaps but quite a few people have commented how much better the dv feels after a service. Yellow spring in mine of course made a big difference though I agree. El said his dv was better for a service. No harm doing it IMO.

Cool I'll be adding them to my list which is now rapidly growing lol! Yeah I have bought a few things in the past from Dave and always been happy with the service he provides.

No worries mate its all true yours is def one of the best LCRs on this forum for sure, keep up the top work.

Well I think my dv def needs doing as I'm not sure what spring I'm running. From what I've seen on the forge website I should have a yellow spring but I think mines got a green one but I'll soon see. Is it quite straight forward servicing it?

Thanks mate I try my best to look after her maybe too much sometimes I hardly even drive it anymore to worried of scratches and dents etc lol.

Cheers mate thank you very much :D. Yeah don't think I would take anymore of mine now. Washed it on Saturday put it in the garge and drove it once this week and it's filthy now. 4 hours to wash and 4 minutes to get it dirty again. Drives me nuts but it's worth it to see it clean for 4 minutes that's why I took pictures I knew it wouldn't last long lol.

Hello mate! Cheers good to be back although not sure my bank card is happy my list of things to get seems to be growing very quickly! Hoping get a place in August so fingers crossed. 50% deposit that's a joke!!! I'm finding it hard enough to get 10%! Thank you I try my best. Fair play there going to look really good be strange to see your car now on LCR alloys. Hope your not getting rid of you BBSs though always thought they really suit your car. Not up to much this weekend so if you and kirst fancy it give us a call and we can all meet up for a catch up :)

Cheers Darren, nothing special I use meguiars gold class shampoo and auto glym super resin polish and then a meguiars wax which seems to do the job but always looking to try new stuff so if you have any good suggestions I know your car is like the cleanest on this forum :) I would like to have a full detail on it to make it completely smooth and flawless but seems to cost a lot to do.

Tell me about it mate, mine was pretty clean until last weekend when I took it out, got home and just couldn't believe how hacky it had gotten, but as you say just means I'll have to get it looking pristine again:)

Just picked the car up from the garage they replaced the cam belt and water pump. The belt looked in good condition as it was only replaced 20,000 miles ago but it look as if it was the original water pump as it was the plastic impeller which was falling to bits. Caught that just in time so it was def worth doing. Atleast I don't have to worry about it for another couple years :)

Nice one Nick :)

Better to be safe than sorry as they say... Had my cambelt/waterpump done not long after I bought my car purely for peace of mind!

I hope youve got deep pockets :D On mine I use Megs Gold class and Rim Wax on the wheels, Auto Finesse Lather shampoo and Werkstat Prime, Jett and Gloss on the body work
http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/werkstat-car-care-and-detailing-products.html

In a way your quite lucky having silver paint as it hide a lot of the swirls, To get a nice smooth finish give it a good wash, snow foam if you've got it and then clay it, then wash it agian and then polish it, SRP is good, it's got fillers in it so it will help hide some swirls, next finish of with either a good quality wax or sealents.

Cheers Darren looks like I've got a few more cleaning products to invest in. how many days does it take you to wash your car!? And I thought I knew how to clean a car, looks like I have a lot to learn. Don't have snow foam as I've not invested in a power washer yet one of the many things on my list to get. I've always thought about claying the car but dont know a lot about it but think this is something I def need to try. I totally agree that the silver hides a lot my last car was black and was a right PITA to get clean and shinny .

First real update in almost a year!!

Finally have my first real update in almost a year :ban:

So basically i had an operation this week and been sat at home being board spending all day on my phone and I've been spending some money on the car again lol

I've been looking at doing these things for a while now so ive finally done it and also just got a bonus from work as I've now changed my job from an engineer to a design enigineer so thought what the hell lets spend some cash :D

So here is my first package that arrived this morning
photo-47.jpg

Really pleased with it. Managed to find it on ebay brand new still in the packaging and got a really good deal on it so couldn't say no.

I'm also expecting another delivery some time next week from Bill.

And if you haven't guessed the BMC CDA will finally be going in the bin/ebay which im sure all of you will be happy to hear lol.

I've ordered the BMC twin cone filter and heatshield.

Really excited to get it all fitted to the car and see what ive been missing out on for all these months!

Also planning to get my car up to bill's at some point to get my mapped looked at for obvious reasons.

Question, will my map need adjusting with these new changes or will it self adjust?

Thanks for looking

Cheers buddy!

Best colour :D

It does look great when its clean and hides a lot of the swirls and scratches.

I do love black cars especially when they are clean but thats half the problem is keeping it clean! My previous car was black and i did love it but its shows everything was a right PITA!

Hope it goes well for you tomorrow :)
