If you wanted weight reduction for that run down the strip, shouldve ditched the missus, rather than butchering the bumper

Damn bro!, what the hell happened to your front bumper!!??? did it swear at you?! :cartman:

:bleh: fair play though, time to get some Cupra face-lift / R bumpers?

I'm getting confused, I don't think you've fitting the pipes the right way round, which is probably why you have to hack so much of the bumper, if you have a look at the pipe on the drivers side bumper of mine, it's the one with the weld joint you can see it through the mesh, where did you put that ?

lol, I'm sure you even pointed him in the direction of your fitting guide with diagram, in another thread.

i think you should strip and rebuild it mate, the whole thing looks wrong, the IC is sitting at an angle, it's like it's falling out from the bottom, the pipes look wrong.

Just looking at all these pics. Would you still be able to have a upper strut brace? Have a feeling if I'm to get the same fmic I'm going to have to change the brace aswell. Does anyone know if this is the case?

yes you can have a upper strut brace, you guys have to bare in mind that basically this is a 'universal' kit where someone has picked bits and pieces of commonly used IC pipes, bends, angles and put them together in the best possible way to fit a LC and sell it as a package which is fair play, a lot of companies do this.

So what this means that any of the pipes can be changed to different angles if need be, but the pipes included with the kit do fit nicely imo, my results and others results are proof of this. Each pipe has a specific place to be fitted/connected, if you follow my guide and go through others readers rides threads that have gone this route it's pretty simple.

The kit leaves more than enough room to play about with other things, the only downer would be trimming the front bumper, basically loosing your fogs, that ALL you loose, nothing else! Not the entire bumper!!

I'm still chuckling at this...

If I was closer I'd come sort it for you.......come on SCN'ers lets have a collection and sort this poor bumper out.

Taxi for anyone?

By the time you take into the cost of a new bumper.
You could of got someone to fit it or upgrade to a bigger Forge item

My bumper will be up for sale soon mate, it's already been cut accordingly! fits perfectly over this IC and is the SAME colour as yours (black magic) in very good condition, straight fit.

PM, i'll do you a good price

what £600? compared to £250 for FMIC and £80 for a bumper?

Engines gonna need a jumper! :cartman:

Is it not worth taking the pipe that doesnt fit and getting one made up that does so theres less trimming?

Very lucky someones doing a new bumper cheap :)
