noise after engine turned off

hey guys i turned my LCR off today and walked away but could here a motor running

I think it may be oil...its just under the bonnet...just above fans on left hand side where 2 pipes go to

thing is it wont stop....its been going now for 10 mins and im worried it will burn out.

any ideas?? should i unplug it??

think thats the water pump, they cary on pumping,

i thought the water pump wat near the bottom of the timing belt???

This motor was just in front of the front panel near the air con pipe

Never knew it carrys on pumping oil after the engine off like the water pump does

think it does if it is running hot ie cooling the turbo down

Its an electronic water pump on a secondary cooling circuit which comes on for 10 minutes after you switch the engine off. Its to cool your turbo down.

Mine doesn't work but i'm just too lazy to fix it, just let the car cool down itself naturally on the drive home and sit on the drive for 2 or 3 mins to keep oil circulating!
