Noisy fans and pollen filter

3 questions.....

1) the two air blowing fans in the centre of my dash are noisy as hell when i turn the air con up, instead of making a soft whirring noise they make a sort of flapping noise, anyone any ideas what this could be?

2) my air con doesnt really come out cold and i reckon it needs regassing, i saw someone mention a DIY kit for this, anyone tried it? or does anyone know someone in the cardiff/newport area who will do it cheap?

3) how do I know when the pollen filter needs changing?

1) Could be a leaf trapped in the system?

2) DOn't know anyone local but Halfrauds do regassing kits if you wanna risk the DIY route...

3) dunno - but it's supposed to be done annually

1) As leigh says, it could be a blockage somewhere in the air flow.

2) Get it done properly for best results. Any refrigeration specialist will be able to do it for you.

3) Take it out and have a look. There are guides on the main SC.net website for changing the pollen filter I believe.
