Cheers guys thats all i wanted to know, i would have went out and checked but its snowing quite heavily.

I put my passenger side one behind that large platic covery thing so that was nice and tidy.

But the drivers one, I had to strap on to a strong hose leading from the power steering I think!

My instruction book recommended it doesn't touch anything metal or hot. Which is surprisingly hard to do in an engine bay!!!

I wouldn't like to advise 55w in a standard Leon headlight to be honest.

Mine are 55W, and had no issues with them

Don't forget, HID's are actually illegal in a car that doesn't have self levelling suspension.

In terms of legality, etc. What's the view of the SCN experts about taking a HID kit to France? Am I gonna get my collar felt or would I be better swapping to the old halogens for the tour?

No idea of the laws but you need them beam deflectors for driving on the wrong side of the road.
