I’ve looked and looked but cannot find the exact coding to have the brake lights off on auto hold. Anyone come across this?
Having had a friend rear ended when he stopped and the brake lights were off, I personally would leave that alone. Yes it was the other persons fault, but they said it was the brake lights going off that made them drive into them (Yeah I know!).

That's just a crap excuse for a driver not looking where they are going. They were probably on there phone and didn't see the stationary car.
But I would still leave that setting alone.

They were both stationary, when his brake lights went off he drove into him. But yeah crap driver. So anything that helps crap drivers from not driving into me the better lol

I never thought about it like that. I was going to be sympathetic to other road users. This is the first car I’ve had with auto hold and find it really useful but in the dark I can see how the brake lights irritate other drivers in stationary traffic behind me. That said I suppose if they left enough gap when stopped and not sat right up my arse it perhaps wouldn’t be so bad for them!

I was asked that on the Ateca thread, concluded it's one of those things VAG dont want you to change. The VCDS are customisation methods they allow between the brands plus some they haven't implemented. If they don't pull out the parameters from within the unit then it cant be changed. Some you need ODIS to do.

For auto folding mirrors, is it possible to fold the mirrors by double pressing on the lock button instead of one press? As I only fold them when I'm parked at work or on the street but leave it when parked on my drive

Feels like you need the original Ateca Kessy settings, if you have Kessy. The orginal way it was shipped in 2016 was one touch to lock and a long hold to get the mirrors in (ditto with the remote button). Was a bit irritating if you had shopping, weekend bag etc holding them away from the panels for that three seconds or so.

The mod I did was from the Spanish Ateca board. Think you need to reverse that to get back to the one touch for lock, long touch to close mirrors in.

The mod to get it around to how they are currently shipped now is here, reverse it to get what you want. Take care.

I have enbaled auto folding mirrors with one press but they unfold when I unlock the car to get something, is it possible to code it so that the mirrors only unfold when the engine is on?

You could follow thru this thread but it ends in a fizz... post 19 had it working.

It's taken from the Obdeleven boards.

Post 21 where someone has an issue... but then the thread currently runs out. Theoldboy is "deleted"... Think that's probably him on the Obdeleven site. He excused himself... but I'm sure it's worth a try if you follow the links. I'm happy for the mirrors to go in and out each time I lock and unlock via one touch which is how most Seats to my knowledge now work (parked up on a busy road you would not want to leave them out for long). Seat gave up with the long touch method to get the mirrors in, they were trying to be a unique brand with that one .

Hi,
I did it as follows....

Control Unit: 09 Central Electrics (Code 31347)

Funk Spiegelanklappung Modus
Old value: by convenience operation via remote control key
New value: by look command via remote control key

Signalisierung_Spiegelanklappung
Old value: on
New value: inactive

First change is for ‘one click’ operation.

The last change is for mirrors to be opened when the Ignition is started, instead of when unlocking the doors.

Hope this helps

Do you have keyless start and entry?
Not sure if this is what @paddy6789 tried for me, but it didn’t work on mine.

The keyless and the button are suppose to behave the same .... touch, long press etc. (Touch = press, long touch = long press etc)

Saying that the rule breaks when Kessy goes into powering down mode to save the battery so the sensor shuts down on the passenger side, least in on an Ateca, walk round to the drivers side then it opens. Needs to be parked up for a few days to get it into that state. I did read it has a powering down functionality within the car, it does.

Probably need a healthy remote battery as well for a long press on that. Give you the thread ... joke. You can put 2032's in them if it has the lower ones. Somewhere along the line Seat Kessy changed to the heavy duty ones. You wedge them in and case holds them in rather than the clip that's used on the earlier remotes that took 2025s.

I will try this on the weekend but just to confirm, this works without kessy?

You just got to try it out and see. The old boy thread I posted has enough discussion on that. Models etc. I'd look out for the setting mirror on the infotainment after you have done it as per the Spanish post to see what it says. Just in case it comes up as off first or something like that and needs a toggle. Those are suppressed menus that VCDS enables which are built in but enabled. That might be why some people can't get it to work as per the original old boy thread. Kessy might be a red herring. Reckon Kessy sits on top of door locking / unlocking procedures as far as the mod is concerned.

As for making the car honk when locking and unlocking in lieu of seeing the mirrors in or out, that's just uncivilized as talked about on the old boy thread. I visually check mine after walking away or indoors if uncertainty of whether you locked it. Has its uses.

I have bought a used 2018 Leon FR and was wondering is there a way to check which stuff may have been activated by the previous owner?
