Hey folks, had a search, plenty of m10x1 threads regarding oil temp or pressure sensors to put in the block bolt above oil filter or use the sump nut etc.

However, I am looking at a sandwich plate which screws onto where the oil filter goes, then the oil filter screws onto that.

Advantage being there are a few sender holes I could always take off an oil temp if I wanted to at a later date...

Does anyone happen to know the size thread I would need for the sandwich plate?

Sizes I have been offered;

M20 x 1.5mm

M18 x 1.5mm

¾ UNF16

Not sure if any of those sound correct?

Many thanks in advance,

Sean

what engine is it ? isnt there already a plate there as a water cooler ?

Are these the only two places you can fit senders then for oil pressure/temp? I'm planning on fitting mine next week but am not overly keen on the idea of the temp sender sticking out the bottom of my sump on an already low car.

Hi mate, im pretty sure only those 2 places yes.

Not that i've seen one... But an ideal idea would be, above the oil filter plug part to have a 't-piece' type sender, rather than just one sender.

The m10x1 adaptors, usually allow one sender plugged into the top, I guess if there was one with 2 plugs in it would work...
