how do you know the oil temp? do you mean coolant? if so check levels , get it pluged in. i have had 8 vag cars and never has it gone over 90 degrees.
The dashboard indicator has it bang on 90 so I'm thinking the digital one is a little more accurate

I have just checked the Leon Mk3 maual and photos of the dashboard in the Leon Mk3 brochure, and there is only one extra gauge within the rev counter dial and this is for coolant (water) temperature only. The only other extra gauge is for fuel level, which is within the speedometer dial. Do you mean that you can read the oil temperature on the rectangular digital display mounted between the rev counter and speedometer?
Yes you can read the oil temp. from the rectangular digital display mounted between the speedo and rev counter.
The menu is:- Driving Data

These sub menus are selected via the right hand steering wheel thumb wheel when in main menu driving data.
I hope that makes sense, but it is late.
Yep my bad, of course it's water temp, badly need a holiday... Sounds like 100 is normal, also read somewhere that oil needs to get to that temp to burn off any condensation - although that could be b******t...
Maybe the car needs to be running or warmed up first? Were any of the other temps there?
