Quick update

Piked my car up this morning ,
took ten mins looking around it to make sure there was no damage and i am pleased to report all clear.

Turned the key and quiet smooth tickover ,
selected first gear and pulled off slow and smoothly and the smile returned to my face and thats the way its been all day.

gave her a good blast around the m25 and a few A roads.
She has been a pleasure to drive , so quiet and smooth , just like a brand new car !

no faults or rummbles or vibrations (touch wood).
fallen in love again.

so will be at santa pod next weekend , so if u wanna have a chat about my SEAT experience just ask me.

Yes mate , the new head came supplied with a faulty "cam variator"
basicaly as far as i can tell from the stealers , its like a mini oil pump which is chain driven which was not pumping oil to the cam shafts when on power and putting the car into limp mode , the fult it gave just said timing issue so they didnt know where to look.

1 week in a new garage , problem found and fixed.

I'm gutted for you Rob, cant believe it is back in the garage again, you must be at your wits end with the thing.

I though it sounded strange when the exhaust popped when you lifted off.

Maybe, but then the 2.0tfsi is alot more refined than the inferior but more highly sprung vauxhall units.
