passenger Door handle

I've tried the search button but could see anything that might help me.

I have recently got a Leon Cupra 52 plate and the place on the passenger front door handle, where the lock would go if there was one, can be removed pull simply pulling it out. Is this right or should there be something to hold it in?

Open the door and on the door just above the lock there is a blanking plug ( plastic) pull it out and inside you'll see an allen headed bolt tighten it and all should be good! if it wont tighten then last owner has undone it too much and locking part has fallen inside the door this can and will be a right pain to sort!

stpete is right, it shouldnt be loose, and should hopefully just be able to tighten it up and your good to go.

cheers will have a go, i hope it does tighten. If not is it a door card off thing?

oh yes and inner metal one, did this on my old leon when delocking drivers door, never did sort it just glued lock in place when i sold car!! LOL

ow sounds fun, look like i'll either have to take everything apart or see if i put bodge it.
