Passenger seat stuck

Hi guys, my passenger seat position seems to be stuck. i cant seem to move it, even pushing/pulling it with the handle pulled doesnt make any difference. any suggestions?

A penny has or some coinage has probably fallen down near the base (Where the hinge is)
I took mine back to the dealers and made them fix it to be honest.

I've sent two back with the exact same issue

I had that problem with my previous MK4. A 50p had fallen into the mechanism. They didn't give me my 50p back, but did replace my old non sliding mechanism with a sliding mechanism under warranty.

turns out a pen got caught between the metal and the seat itself, took ages to get it out but it was worth it

just incase anybody has the same problem
