Unfortunately this time for some unknown reason SEAT didn't include any cut out hole to make it easier, in previous generations this wasn't a problem. I was looking for options to add it but that would mean completely redesigning the parts as the simple hole cut out would make the structure itself not strong enough and potentially collapse.
 
A simple job in some cars, and a PITA in others. I specifically requested a cabin filter change at my last service and they said they had done it. Fan did produce a bit more draught so I had to take it on trust. Formentor 310 looks same as yours, a lot of hassle and potential io mess things up.
 
Just finished my one RHD replacement. It's a bit challenging but durable. No need to remove (lower) the glovebox shelf. There are 4x T20 screws inside the glovebox, a plastic clip and 1x T20 screw on the left side under the side cover and one sneaky T20 screw hidden on the bottom right side of the end. You have to also drop the bottom cover 3x T20 screw under the glovebox for better access. Don't, unplug the Airbag switch if you dont have the diagnostic to reset the fault afterwards. And dont forget to unplud the glovebox light the cable is rather short. Picture attached. My filter was pretty stuffed with all sort of sh.t. :rolleyes:

Dealers do.
As techs we do 100's of them.
It doesn't take 2 minutes when you've done enough of them.
I was gonna offer advice but @KoNG gave a spot on guide.
either way taking a load of screws out and potential for broken clips and rattles is just a stupid design. The mk3 is not like this why change it.

Honestly I've seen worse... Its similar to the newer Ford Focus remove the whole glovebox.
You would have to be a little reckless to break the clips or damage the threads. So rattles aren't really a problem.

In my experience its only annoying when an insurance company decides that its a great place to tuck away a blackbox.
Because then I gotta unplug the blackbox and warn my customer they may have to deal with their insurance company.
In most cases the invoice is enough proof for the insurance company. they tend to understand maintance so long as its reinstalled.
