Just this min ordered the Magneti Marelli struts off ebay for £22, delivered from Lativa.
Will order the stops from TPS on Mon.

Holmefield what struts did you end up getting 515n or 550n?? And your prefacelift arent you??

I ordered 1U6827550F from tshopabs for my 2012 leon.

They seem ok to me, probably the weather but the boot is easier to shut lately. Seem to recall last winter the boot didn't open fully when cold.

Still not bought the stops though, must get round to getting them.

No I also found a similar article but it said I should update. I have 8050. Will invest or find somone local. Will post back soon :)

Cheers for the advice Ben. I rolled back to 704 and although the bit was not labelled. It was there along with others.

Selected it, uploaded the changes and all is working now :D

Added some 550n onto the car today took about 3 minutes now just to get the boot pop coded in and find some poppers from a VW dealer...

Pretty crap you cannot order them online considering I see they break a few times in the cars life looking at VW forums...

I did notice that the 550n is very stiff when closing hoping that calms down with some use...

They will always be stiffer than the standard struts, that's one issue with this mod that unfortunately I don't think there's a way around!

Yeah I saw that from the above posts and knew it would be stiff but there is no way the other half would be able to close it without two hands and looking like a weakling haha
