Oh and In regards to dash lights dimming. Shorting out a massive 50 amp fuse will draw massive current from your battery and cause this.

I recommend take the front bumper off to check. T25 screws in both arches and t30 screws on top. It takes 5 mins to remove. That will give you perfect access to J500 and connectors.

Didn't want to comment until some time passes to see the results. So I took off the front bumper, was easy indeed, and cleaned up the connectors and around, checked wirings, couldn't find anything significant. Left the pumps connector disconnected for a few days, no issue whatsoever, then i have put it back, no fuse blown since.

The pump has two holes inside the connector, probably some humidity that was inside the pump had the chance to evaporate?
