Is there any way of making the power steering work harder so the steering is lighter.. i feel its a bit to heavy in my leon, ive heard something about you can do it with vagcom. is this true? :/

Would be interesting... was parking in a multistorey with the sticky floors the other day and it wasn't half hard to park! Don't know how my GF manages!

Personally I'd rather have slightly heavy steering than have the numb electric power steering that has been present in the other cars I've had this year.

you can only do this on the mk2 leon iirc. Check your tyres have the correct pressure, if they are slightly underinflated the steering will feel heavier.

I used to be able to do this on my focus using the MFA stalk........to be honest you wouldn't want to if its anything like the Ford one.......Put it in 'sport' and its crap, put it in 'comfort' and its like driving along in a rowing boat :cartman:

Jeesus guys grow a set.
WTF your you like.
If you find it too tough and your girlfriend manages then time to get those puny arms to the gym

Check fluid? Tyres? Tyre Pressures? Were your tyres hot?

Or as said, get to the gym!! :p

steering is supposed to be hard on a sports car. It gives feedback during sportly driving as it should.

Same with my clio, the steering was weighted and makes driving it so easy, dad drove the clio and said dits heavy as hes used to punto shitty electric steering that you can do with pubes. If you want woman steering you bought the wrong car, jeeese how would you lot cope in an old transit van.
