Problem with VAG.COM software

I received my software and cable today, ebay jobby i know!

everything was going so well, got it installed changed ports etc but when i selected the port i wanted and clicked test the application just seemed to close

any ideas this is doing my head in

its an OBDII cable USB connection

Probably just a conflict in ports causing VAG to shut down.

Go into your device manager and find the USB VAG controller device, double click it and choose a port thats not used by the serials etc.

Then open VAG and goto setting and select same port as you have chosen in device mgr for your VAG controller.

sometimes plugging in another usb ive found wipes out the vag com on my lap top

It was the laptop that was the problem. i went round my mates and used his no problem. everything was so easy. got the cable and software from ebay £15 did the job.

I have an engine temp sensor too high! whatever that is. off i goto research it!

Hoggy he was called lonelec and the item is called VW AUDI SEAT SKODA DIAGNOSTIC USB CABLE VAG-COM 409.1
