Yes, it would seem the reservoir has been leaking for sometime and if this is not controlled it can have devastating effects on the canal networks and the trent river.
So they drained it in a controlled way and siphoned the water off to repair the leak and now I hear that they will let it fill back up naturally – which is expected to take 30 years…

Well not a good update.
Blow out today on the A5, out of the blue and just glad i wasnt speeding and only doing 50/55 mph or could have been very nasty.
Managed to pull over and inspect but then had the issue of the car being soooo low i couldnt get the jack under it....so had the idea of getting the back jacked up and the spare under it somewhere then lowering it onto the spare and jacking it up at the front. The plan was going well till the old jack in the car gave way and although it was only a few cm's the car wobbeled on the jack and kind of fell onto the tyre i had ready to slip under denting the sill !!

Anyways, with a little help of a friend got it changed and found this to be the issue..
No idea what caused it but life goes on ay..tyre shopping tomorrow it looks like.

When mine blew it was sidewall cracking, yours doesn't look like it has any? Looks bulged there, might of been a tyre bulge, pressure building up there, then at them speeds couple with speed BOOM!

Vento looked awesome on the M42 earlier Dan (see 'spotted' section )
Gutted about the blow-out..... although it looks like there's a 'rub' mark on the tyre running round at the same position as the blow-out. Hasn't been catching on something has it? Especially running low suspension.....
Also looks like it's on the inside of the tyre, rubbing on suspension turret/spring?

well, funny you should say that becuase yesterday when i was fitting the 14'' spare the coilie adjuster was very VERY VERY close to the tyre but i was thinking as the turbine is a 15 then normally it would be fine.
However at quickfit today when getting a new tyre they pointed out to me a nail in the tyre and said that they reckon ive got the nail stuck, tyre has gone down....hit the pot hole while running low split boom.

A whole month without and update. Oh well i have been pretty busy.
Went shopping last week off the back of a rather nice scene Vento getting written off. Which was sad as it was the first Vento that made me want one. Sad times....
However i had first dibs on some parts and i picked up a rare USA GL deep chin splitter, USA spec plate tub and 4 new up rated door speakers in the form on 2 JBL and 2 Kenwood.
This weekend gave its normal clean and demon shine. Got the 2 front speakers fitted and got the splitter on. I know i really need pics here so will get some up later but it really does look utter dub **** !...only have these 3 to hand of me and the viper... Will get the rest up later...

dan you know it will look awesome, remember that white vento on ed38 (he wrote it off) well it looked amazing on that, since then i think all vento's should have them, or get banned haha
well you can do what rich (baldspeed) on ed38 has done with tinting film, much cheaper, and you can choose the grade of tint you want (and always reversible)
