I've jsut been to Santa Pod today and my best run was 13.935 @ 100.54. I'm pretty pleased with this seen as its only the 2nd time I've been to a drag strip :D

The best time for a spec similar to mine that i've found on here is 13.16 @ 110.78, however, that was in a Mk3 Cupra which is lighter for starters, and apparently some of the interior was stripped out too.

So how much difference does interior stripping make? Cos I'd like to think that my best time is respectable, given that my car was exactly as I use it on the road, with a boot mat sized piece of 18mm MDF in the boot too! :p

Parkers suggests that my car weighs 1177kg standard (plus say 5kg for my MDF boot floor? So 1182kg) and a Mk3 Cupra weighs 1119kg (minus prob rear seats, spare wheel maybe 25kg? )

So that puts my approx 1182kg against a mk3 approx 1094kg. How much difference is 88kg likely to make to a 1/4 mile time?

imagine what the mk3 would go like with 88 bags of these in the boot ?

If the car you are reffering to is Iancupra's then you might want to adjust the weight figure slightly.

He was running without any seats other than drivers, and most of the interior stripped out.

Yeh thats whose car I was referring to! I didn't realise he had that much stripped out  I'm happy with my time, so thats all that matters. Perhaps I could shave off another few tenths with a perfect start. I had a good start on my best run, but I feel I could do a bit more :)

Maybe next time I'll strip my car out a little :p

Well worth taking the rear seats and spare wheel out.

They make quite a difference, and for the sake of 5 minutes, I'd say its worth it.

Do you have the slips for us to see by any chance?

Yeh, I'll have to take pics and upload to photobucket as I have no scanner. Will post them up shortly.

I've got a 20vt stage 2 had cone filter decat 4bar fuel regulator and revo stage 2 map. Managed 14.09 @ 103.7mph at crail. Backs seats out and spare wheel out. As said already seats make a difference in my opinion.
