Had it since march, not touched the exterior just sorted out the stereo and fitted HID's tonight.

i thought it was pauls thats why i asked if you bought it like that , I only met him once at a Manchester meet , Where you at inters? could of swarn i saw the car

Stats on yours say 10 seconds ish standard.

I know for definite that this "tuning" would not make that difference.

try changing gear before the engine cut so around 6600 revs?

My best run is a 15.5 but with a lot of extra weight to drag along (me). (FR TDi just about as below).
 
ive clocked my standard fr tdi a few times 0-60mph and each time under 9 secs more like 8.5
so why do seat use 9.5 for the official figures?

IIRC VAG test at what they call 1/2 load (or did back in the Mk2 golf days) so that's equivelent to 2 up with a decent sixed case in the boot. This may have changed though.

Yea was talking about spring/summer festival. Will be intresting to have a race with T.spark last time I won the diesel class he was there and we were having a chat but hopefully with the water meth on and if i strip the car fully i can give him a run for his money. I know he ran a 13.5 or something so i have .3 to find but to be fair as my post says I was running on nagkangs not fully striped out with headwind so i don't think 13.5 is out of the question even without water/meth.
 
a mapped fr should keep or even beat a standard type r to be fair. there is a huge torque difference

mine beats civic type r's.

Ok bog standard (engine wise) TDi 130 Sport with just a PD160:

At Inters '09 with all trim in place, I managed a 16.44 quarter and an 8.5 0-60.

Pretty pleased with that. Got some good starts with minimal wheelspin which helps alot.

When I saw it up for sale I was very tempted, took me for a spin at the Awesome RR day. Got yourself a mint car mate.



In mine I got a 15.4, Ed the previous owner got a 14.7 though......makes me a piss poor 1/4 driver :happy:
 
T Sparks does 0-60 in 5 secs, 1/4mile in 13.5 (on rubbish surface). And more power is coming ;)
